Boeung Keng Kang 1 (BKK 1) is known for its acceptance of the expat community. It borders the Norodom, Mao Tse Tung and Monivong Boulevards and is home to the Swiss, Bulgarian, Brunei and Swedish embassies and many Non-Government and International Organization HQs.
Properties in BKK1 are expensive but remain attractive to businesses that profit from the expat market. Commercial outlets attract many foreigners with a wide range of local cuisine to international food outlets as well as pharmacies, salons, gyms, schools and travel agencies.
Condominiums and apartments start from $500 for 1 BR and $1000+ for serviced units and despite being more expensive, remain the first choice for many.
